You may feel justified in feeling angry and hurt but know that ultimately you are the one who pays the price for not forgiving. You can learn from the experience so that it doesn’t happen again but forgive the person and the experience. Release what you are holding onto that is building resentment and blame. You’re not saying that what they did is okay, you are just saying that you are no longer going to hang on to feelings that harm you.

Forgiving is a win win situation…for you.  Release all the ill feelings and thoughts that you hold on to and create a new you without the heavy negative feelings of resentment, blame, and hurt. It’s okay to let it go.
