Each one of us has a different way of looking at the world. When you meet someone or even someone you already know, find out what is different, loving, and open about each person and this will open up new ways that you will allow you to feel more loving and open. It’s amazing to find all the different ways people see the world and you begin to open up even more and you will create a flow of energy that is flexible and open within you.
When you go out, put your inner eye glasses on. Don’t look at the guy who cut you off in traffic or the surly coworker. Look with those inner eyes. Realize that whoever and whatever they are, they are creating their life. Send them thoughts of joy even if you don’t feel like it. When you use your inner eyes, you create a positive steady stream of joy, love, and happiness and see things for what they REALLY are and not the illusion that has been put before you. When you treat others with kindness, no matter what they are doing, the vibration of kindness will come back to you.
So what do you do when those everyday things happen? You know, maybe it’s time to change all the light bulbs because they all keep blowing out, or maybe it’s time to take out the trash. Or how about if you have a flat tire? When you get upset when the everyday living happens you are creating a tense vibration that will continue to draw to you the next feeling of wrong and less than positive. Being upset creates more problems. You see, if you get upset and that is the end of it then it is only a short burst of intense vibrations but when it happens over and over again with every little thing then you are creating a vibration that will come right back to you like a boomerang.
So how do you keep from getting upset at all of these little nuisances? First relax and then let go of the feeling within your body and heart. Don’t bottle it up…just let it go and keep a steady calm and positive vibration. You will still have to handle the problem, but you will have stopped yourself from creating more in the future. If you do your best to do this over and over again you will find that those little nuisances will become smaller and smaller until you will not even notice them when they happen if they happen anymore.
Smooth as silk…now doesn’t that sound good? Does it work? Just ask me…I’m the smooth silk queen! lol
Do you ever have those moments when you sit down to meditate and everything else comes to mind? Taking out the trash, what is for dinner, writing up that paper, and then your meditation time has become a mind full of would of’s and should of’s? Keep a notepad close to you when meditating so that when these things come to mind, you can write them down, you won’t forget them, AND you will have cleared your mind of all worries you would rather forget. This will add to a calmer meditative state and, over time, your mind will know to stop shifting focus.
I keep a little notepad right by my side when I meditate and if a thought that keeps nagging me comes up, I write it down, and just like magic it disappears and makes my quiet time oh so quieter.
One less ‘monkey mind chatter thought’ so I can keep my connection nice and clear.
When you recognize what someone else is thinking or saying about you, send them a higher positive vibration. Sometimes we ‘take in’ what they see without any question, accepting what they have to say about your life. When you ‘take in’ a vibration that someone feels about you then you begin to vibrate that exact vibration. You begin to live a life based on what others think or want for you instead of creating your own life. But once you understand and see that it is what they think, and not what you think, you can change them by creating your own picture of yourself. By doing this you will not be affected by what they think of you.
When Mom was a little girl, she came home crying one day. She told Grandma Howard that she was ugly and stupid. Grandma hugged her and said, “What brought this on?” Mom revealed that another little girl had said those words.
“So Vernie. Did you think you were stupid and ugly before you left for school?”
Mom shook her head ‘no.’
“And someone else told you that so you believe it just because another told you?”
Mom nodded.
“Vernie, there are going to be people all your life who are going to say mean things and tell you how they think you are but they don’t matter. What you think about you is all that matters. What do you think?”
Mom thought for a moment. “Well, I get good grades so I think I’m really smart.”
Grandma interrupted, “But just because you get good grades doesn’t make someone smart or stupid. That is only according to what others think. You get good grades because you like to feel smart but that doesn’t make you smart. That makes you educated. What does your heart say?”
Mom thought and thought and then realized, “I feel smart inside and I am very pretty from the inside out.”
“Then THAT is what is important…what you think about you.”
Wise Grandma.
What you love is the direction toward what you are here to do. Go in the direction of how you feel. You know the feeling…the one where you just love what you are thinking and feeling. THAT is the direction and THAT is where you are to be because you are here to experience through love.
I get asked the question over and over again, “How can I be so positive and find the next good feeling thought when everything around me feels as if it is crumbling down?”
First, commend yourself for recognizing that a change in thought has come to you. Next, realize it is what it is (whatever you are experiencing) and know that your attitude, your thought, your reactions are what will take you to the next step toward feeling a little better. Once you know that, no matter what is happening, that all is truly well, release the experience from within yourself.
This doesn’t mean you necessarily vent . Some say, “I have to vent or else it will build inside me’… Here’s the difference between venting and releasing. Releasing is when you go within and realize that ‘letting go’ of all the negative within will get rid of the feeling and you won’t feel the need to vent. When venting, we release an emotion that is full of intention. All the worries, fears, and upset just come charging out. Yes, it can feel good but if you continue the vent for hours upon hours, you have now created a massive intention of ‘I want more of that feeling’ just based on the vibration you are sending. But when you use a mind that has been trained to recognize the feelings from the body and mind, you can immediately step away from the feelings and thoughts of venting, and releasing all the negative attached.
I do vent when I feel injustice of some kind BUT it is short, sweet, and then…I breathe deep and ‘let it go’ completely. Give me a few seconds and I get that monkey mind chatter to calm down and realize that it is all about going within and realizing how everything is well…always. Then it’s gone within seconds. It always come back to how we react and release. We can learn and expand consciousness through the struggle or through the calm. We choose through our vibration.
Each person has a side of them that doesn’t want to be positive. Just for a moment, imagine you are opening a door and letting the light shine on the negative side. Feel the fresh air and see the light shining in that dark feeling zone. Continue this over and over again throughout the day. By imagining this image you will begin to feel and think less negative. Each time you don’t let the negative side of you get the best of you, you are creating and increasing your own connection to your inner self and that inner self is pure positive light.
How about it? How about we get that light shining so strongly that we don’t even have to think about having to shine it on that pesky negative side of ourselves? Can you imagine how good it feels to realize that truly there is no negative in life, just experiences that help guide us to the next level of what we envision. Contrast is important. It shows us both sides and gives us a choice of what we want through what we think and feel. It’s there for us to choose. I choose the positive, how about you? SHINE YOUR LIGHT!
The logical mind is the one that says, “I have to, I should, I have to get it done.” It is your intuition that says, “Let’s do it. Isn’t this going to be great?” Intuition can sometimes feel as if it is trying to pull you away from the work of life and merely wants you to play. Here’s the amazing thing…when you go play, you connect to answers you may have had to spend many months trying to find. Sometimes you should just go play even if it is just in your back yard.
Go play and that work may turn into play and joy. I love intuition’s no nonsense joyous voice. Keep your toes in the logical physical world but always check in with your intuition. It is the direct connection to you, the eternal self, and the Universe. Let’s hear it for the intuition! WOO HOO!
Even though some of the life experiences you are having may not be comfortable at first, down the road, they will bring you a better solution, a greater joy, and a better life. Trust that all is well through your life experiences and you will be led in the direction you desire.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wondered, “Why is this happening?” That was in the old days, though. Now I understand ‘the why.’
When we have an experience that feels less than positive, we tend to feel as if life isn’t going as we had envisioned, but do you know that sometimes it is the way to the life you envision? Sometimes that experience helps you to move in a different frame of mind or action that is bringing you to where you want to be. How about we just get rid of the words ‘negative experience’ and know that, no matter what we see with our physical eyes, that when we open out ‘inner eyes’ to the experience we just know and trust it is one more piece of the puzzle of what you envision. Those experiences can take you to a whole other level of higher vibration that will align you to what you envision.
You do not need to make words into statements to reach the deeper parts of your being. If you recognize that you are feeling down or even anxious, use positive thoughts to lift your vibration. Positive words are the words that come from your very spirit. You don’t have to make sentences out of them. Just find some good feeling words and roll them off your tongue; love, joy, insightful, ease, tranquil, giving. You will touch a vibration within the very depths of who you are and it will lift your energy and vibration.
Sounds a bit like ‘If you believe in fairies, clap your hands’ but there is truth in what you believe. You create your life through what you believe is true and when you change your vibration to a little higher positive thought you are saying, “I believe this will help me. I know it will. I choose to say these wonderful words and lift my vibration” then your belief, your thought, your vibration begins to move and shape into what you are feeling and thinking…. CLAP YOUR HANDS!!!!
How do you treat yourself? Do you say kind things about yourself? Because…however you treat yourself is how others are going to treat you.
It is our inner dialogue that can create experiences that reflect in life which show us how we feel about who we are. And when we are able to recognize it, you can change what reflects into your world. So what kind of inner dialogue do you say to yourself throughout the day? Do you say, “I feel fat today. I just can’t stand myself like this,” or “I can’t believe I messed up. I’m so stupid,” or “He made me feel really small. I feel so bad about myself.”
How about if someone doesn’t answer an email or maybe gives you ‘a look’? Think about that inner dialogue and begin to change it within yourself. Even if you wish you were a little thinner, begin to think about what is wonderful about who you are right now. Change your inner dialogue. You can go on the diet at the same time but don’t beat yourself up over your size. Change the dialogue. Do this in every situation.
If you are wrong about something…so what? Know that you thought you did the best you could. If someone else is trying to make you feel lesser, then realize it is their problem and…change the dialogue. Look at yourself in the mirror. Look in your eyes and tell yourself how much you are loved and that you do love you and all your ways. Do this every day. Inner dialogue can change you and your life.
Your joy in life will come when you decide that all you want in life is joy, and you settle for nothing less than just that. Every thought, every feeling, every motion is directed toward joy even through times that seem less than joyful. Don’t settle for the ho hum…focus on joy.
So many believe that outer circumstances or ‘things’ are what is going to bring them happiness but you know what? Happiness and joy begins from within. It is when you decide that life can be full of joy and continually look and find joy in life now. Believe me, if you come upon that circumstance or thing that you want, you will feel as if you are happy for a while. But then, there’s that feeling once again…what can I do to get happy? The answer to happiness is within you. Start there.
You would not believe the amount of people who focus on what they don’t want in life instead of what they do want. It’s important to describe in the best way you can what you do want. What you want to replace that ‘don’t want’ for. This will attract the vibrations of the things you do want.
We all go through the moments of figuring out what we want in life from what we don’t want. This is how we direct our lives through contrast BUT once you know what you want then step away from the repetitive mental pattern that says, “I don’t want that, I don’t want that” and create a new mental pattern that only sees what is what you want in life. ‘Don’t want’ or ‘want’ comes to you whichever vibration you decide to use.
So…what are you going to choose? ![]()
Isn’t it wonderful to have an imagination? Your imagination is one of the most powerful tools you could possibly have. It is completely unlimited with no boundaries whatsoever. It’s not limited by your physical body or even time. When you imagine, you do it with a feeling of joy and a mindset of relaxation. By using your imagination you are stepping into a higher vibration.
That’s all it takes. Create something; music, art, writing, words, joy, anything…use your imagination to create bigger and better, positively positive, and beyond. Every feeling, every image, every thought that is from the imagination that is created in a positive image creates a higher vibration of joy. That vibration will bring you more joy than you can ever imagine.
You were given an imagination for a reason…use it to create the life you envision.
When you experience a negative thought about yourself, imagine light being shined upon the thought. It’s not necessary to do another thing. Just the image of white light shining into a negative will give the subconscious a positive boost.
There is something that becomes powerful when you envision light shining through it. A negative becomes rendered powerless, hate turns into love, sadness turns into acceptance and love, not knowing turns into insight. I love to shine light from the very core of an experience. I envision light shining so bright that there is nothing to see but the true essence of the experience through a positive eye. The light always transform the dark…always.
So many higher vibrational beings do such important work ; you may walk past one today. They may choose to do all of it anonymously. Some choose their soul work with just a small group of people or maybe by being a parent. Don’t judge your own values about work through your ego self…your personality. The physical self only sees the form of what you are doing. And the personality sees through others’ lives and what is considered the standards of normal. Look through the eyes of your inner self. It knows your contributions to the world no matter what it could be.
We are all experiencing life. That is what we are here for. No one is better than another, no one is right or wrong, no one deserves more or less than one another. The restrictions you see have been man made and considered normal to live in the physical world but…the inner self knows better. The inner self knows that we are all just as wonderful and loved as the next person and that we are all experiencing through our physical eyes what we have created as normal or right. Take off the blinders and truly see each person for who they are. They are just like you only experiencing what they create through their thought and vibration. Sure, some of it isn’t for you but that is your choice. No one is normal and everyone is…
Create through love…
Begin to trust that what others do, no matter what it is, it just may be for your higher self. Even if you can’t understand why. Then…let it go and don’t put any more energy to it. The Universe knows and everything happens in the right timing no matter what happens. If there is something that you wanted to happen and it doesn’t then know that something better is in store. Your higher self is always working for you through its wisdom. It always gives to you as much positive and good as you are allowing into your life. Just trust and know and you will see after the pieces of the puzzle have been put together, it was all the way it should be to be where you are.
Okay…at times, my kids laugh when they are with me because they know what my view is in life. We may be driving along the road and some speedster whizzes past my slower than slow grandma driving. My son will say, “What is HIS problem? Geeze!” Then I say, “It’s no concern of mine. He passed…big deal. I’m not making it a part of my day OR vibration.” We keep going along.
Maybe we see someone that is a bit crusty on the side of the road with a sign for change. I won’t look at what I physically see but I look for the inner being of that person and make my decision whether to give change or not on that feeling. My kids been taught not to make any assumptions about anyone or their circumstances. No matter what the situation I always show my kids that staying balanced without assumptions doesn’t mess with your vibration and you can see a lot more clear of a situation instead of festering over it. (That doesn’t mean they always take my advice! hee hee)
If we’re in the grocery store and I have a cashier telling me all about her life very openly, I just smile and pay. Somehow, it helped her to vent OR it helped me to listen…you see…each person we encounter has something to teach us about ourselves and we do the same for them. How we respond is as big a lesson for ourselves as it is for others. Every word expressed creates a vibration that can affect you and others. We are given the chance, every single day, to learn and expand our mind and heart through ourselves and others.
Many have been taught that being busy makes us a more important and successful human. But did you know that there are two kinds of being busy? Your physical ego self is driven by the ‘shoulds and have to’s’ in life and it doesn’t consider your higher self. That is one form of busy. The other? It is when you are directed from within that has your higher self in mind and that busy feels full of joy and not shoulds and have to’s.
This isn’t to say to just chuck the laundry or washing the car. Through our everyday life we are given the chance to enjoy (at least within our mind!) as we do the everyday things but when we keep ourselves so busy with all that we have to do, we lose what our purpose is of being on this earth. We begin to get caught up in all that we think we have to do instead of being directed within that brings us joy. Get through your should’s and have to’s and use that time to feel what your vibration is saying to do for joy. Don’t get so caught that you are living to keep busy. Step back and really listen to what your heart is telling you to do for joy.
Your intuition feels the truth without needing any kind of explanation. It senses without using the physical world. Your intuition doesn’t work on the logic of the physical world. It goes beyond time and the normal rules of the physical world. It is the connection to the eternal self. Your intuition knows your present, your future, your past, all at the same time. Your intuition is the one that hears your desires and uses those vibrations to figure out ways to give them to you. It speaks to you through a strong feeling and insights…can you feel it?
Sometimes we can get mixed up in all the ‘should of, would of, could of’ of our physical life and we become so worried about all the physical details of life that we forget that all of the physical world thoughts are a part of the human experience we chose. When we begin to check in with our own eternal self we find that it has answers beyond our wildest dreams in the form of a feeling, a thought, or an idea. It has that exact vibration within to help guide you through your experiences. How about trusting your inner voice and relying on it as much as you rely on the should of and could of. When you do, all the details of what seemed so important at the time become a little piece of the puzzle and no longer the big piece you’ve made it out to be.
You may have all kinds of things you want to create but what is beyond those forms? What is your highest goal within it all? Maybe you want to understand and learn at lightning speed or possibly to expand your consciousness. Maybe you want to send healing vibrations to others. Each day hold that higher goal within your mind. Go higher and higher with your goal…use your imagination. Create a higher and higher vibration. The higher your vibration the quicker the things and forms that don’t fit into your overall highest goal will fade away leaving you with exactly what you want.
So you must be wondering how do you hold a higher vibration when things seem…shall we say…stressful. That is the time where it gives you the chance to let your light shine. That is when you want to practice. How else are you going to master the art of positivity?
During those trying times is when you hold your head up high, close your eyes and reach for a better feeling thought, over and over again until the feeling of the stress and negative begin to slip away from your very being. Reach for that higher vibration and goal…it works every time.
Do you know that when you tense up whenever you encounter a negative experience that you attract even more negative energies into your life? Here’s the way to remedy that. Begin by first relaxing. Anything you can do to relax. Maybe imagine a harmonious feeling or just go through the motions of relaxing your body. By acting as if you are relaxed and doing your best to step aside from the negative, you will not pick up the negative vibration.
Sometimes it feels like a dance, doesn’t it? You go out for the day and others seem grumpy. You step aside from the negative and get back into your nice positive space. Then a car backs out and almost gets your car. You step aside from the negative thought and get back into your positive space. You step this way and you step that way and you begin to wonder if you attracted all of it? But you know what? Even if you did attract it, you are making an effort to change it by ‘stepping aside’. And when you do that, you are going to attract a more positive vibration into your life. So no worries…don’t dwell on the why…just shift your vibration so the days become much smoother.
